What makes a mass murderer?

Charlie Manson is dead. Fetch me a bin liner. I could make that funeral quick and inexpensive I assure you.

In the wake of Manson’s long overdue demise there were a great many catastrophically bad opinions expressed.

Chuck Woolery, a former television host and Hollywood conservative does a podcast (doesn’t everyone these days?) with fellow weirdo, Mark Young. It sounds as many podcasts do, as if two drunk men are sitting in a garage with a cheap microphone trying to outdo each other with increasingly stupid takes.

Woolery thinks Manson was an early supporter of the antifa (anti-fascist movement) and further that had Charlie been allowed to vote, he would have scratched a swastika in the box alongside Bernie Saunders’ name. By Woolery’s logic Jeffrey Dahmer would be a Reaganite, preferring to opt out of the expensive food stamp welfare program and make his own sandwiches.

Sadly it got a lot worse. On the other side of the political aisle, there were some appalling attempts to evoke sympathy for the man who facilitated and urged his followers to commit the most appalling deeds known as the Tate-Labianca murders in Los Angeles in 1969.

Sometimes one needs ones soul “nourished” Mr Insider, and who better to do it than that magnificent bastard ex Labor PM Paul Keating, as here with his ACME Fightback sendup. Magic!

I see the young breath of fresh air, Milo (greek name) has arrived on our shores. I hope he gets a seat on Q&A as the left seem intent on shutting him up.

    • Carl on the Coast says:

It’s marvellous what a difference Milo makes Milton.

      • Milton says:

Well I’ve looked over at the smh and I’ve not yet found mention of his comments. Perverse really when many an arriviste with green/left credentials, or anti coalition sentiments need only fall from a tree and make headlines.

    • Boadicea says:

That would be hilarious Milt. Even make the show worth watching – just for the flying feathers

    • Trivalve says:

Biggest look-at-me I’ve come across for years. Not getting any oxygen from me.

    • Jean Baptiste says:

The guy with the connections with Neo Nazis? Okaaaaay.

    • Perentie says:

I heard he was here do some concreting?

    • Dismayed says:

Are you lot seriously offering support for this milo yappenoffalot? If so it proves all that is wrong with your ideology.

      • Milton says:

You and JB sound like anti-Greek, homophobes to me. Just because he doesn’t conform to your sheep like beliefs does not make him wrong.

        • Jean Baptiste says:

Have you seen his quotes? He’s all over the place contradicting himself because he doesn’t really have a grip on the structure but simply regurgitates sound bites. He claims for instance that Trump isn’t owned by anyone and is the best thing for the small man. He is either a charlatan or a dead set half wit if he really believes that.

      • Boadicea says:

He likes to push buttons, Dismayed. Just check over the wall. Heather has cancelled her subscription!
That’s how he earns a dollar. Not to be taken seriously.

        • Milton says:

Certainly a polemicist Boadicea. I wouldn’t be surprised if his “personae” is all a fabrication. Regardless, I find him good value (costs me nothing). He’s also a likely candidate for some nasty mischief. Good publicity unless (or even if) it kills him.

        • Dismayed says:

Milton is supporting this guy. He is saying it is ok to deny that rape occurs and deny there is pay gap. these are some of his more light hearted remarks. He is another dangerous creature whom the right the cons seem to be drawn o more and more. this again highlights you cons have lost the plot if you ever were near it.

    • Bella says:

Oh yes Milton such a “breath of fresh air” Milo has ties with white supremist Richard Spencer & Trump.
He’s just a conceited, nasty raging piece of work who may just help radicalise Muslims whilst he’s here.
“Our job as journalists is to mess with people and destroy their lives.”
So ‘nice’ to see that the thin veneer of racism is so welcome.

  • Henry Blofeld says:

He’s got a big one, Mr Insider, and of course I refer to the latest ICBM launch of Kimmy Jong-un’s which went higher than ever, the US says, warning the rogue regime is well on track to be able to hit “everywhere in the world” with a nuclear strike. Strewth lets hope POTUS Trump and other World Leaders pull Kimmy’s shorts down and give him a dashed good thrashing for being so provocative. I do note though a “few” simple minded chappies do admire the errant Kimmy.

So, Shanghai Sam warns his connection to the CCP that he might be under surveillance. At least we know his loyalty isn’t divided.

  • Dismayed says:

“As has been repeatedly observed, Australia’s franking credit system means foreign companies would be the main beneficiaries of a corporate tax cut. The corporate tax cut would effectively be subsidised by reduced franking credits for Australian investors.”

Hey dude, this is Australia, we are a quarry for the multinationals. That’s the way we roll. (over, with our bellies up).
Leave the independent brave stuff to the Norwegians.

      Whop it up ’em anyway.

  • Dismayed says:

Ahem. from Telstra boss. “According to Mr Penn, a 5G mobile network will not be able to achieve the same level of capacity as the fixed-line network due to cost restraints.”

    • Razor says:

He would. They’re making a motsa out of the NBN.

    • jack says:

the future of 5G is not going to be determined by the costs implications of the aus telecoms market but by what happens in lots of markets around the world.

the biggest and most obvious thing mobile has going for it is the billions of potential consumers who do not now have and likely never will have access to fixed line tech.

their demand for access will drive the tech developments to make 5G and it’s successors work.

that is a potential hole in the business model of the NBN and like, after all the spend on roll out of existing tech, what if they are swamped by something new?

  • Henry Blofeld says:

Looks like Barnaby has taken his re-election for granted, Mr Insider, going by a story tonight on the ABC where no one could find him to talk to or interview. Sadly a “scrubby” field against him in unlike John Alexander is facing in Bennelong the very formidable Kristina Keneally.. Go Kristina, and she’s travelling nicely too Mr Insider, along the “back straight”. Meanwhile in QLD silly LNP loser Timmy Nichols is sounding more stupid than ever, advising Anastasia if she doesn’t want the Premiership he will take it. Yes Timmy that’s not likely to happen you sweet old darling as the great PJK would say.

  • smoke says:

some Ranga getting married eh? Goodo, now where the hell is Stokes??

    • Razor says:

Couldn’t agree more smoke. Who cares about the ranga and his Mrs Simpson. Now Stokes could add some fire to England and make a competition out of it.

      • Lou oTOD says:

Yes Razor, maybe the Poms could hurry up and organise a meeting between Ben and the entire Aussie team in a local Adelaide pub tomorrow. It should make a perfect final preparation ahead of the Test starting on Saturday.

He could come into the side as a right arm swing hitter.

  • Huger Unson says:

    Jimmy BaAARRRRNNes.

    • Boadicea says:

Cold Chisel had an outdoor concert at Wrest Point here last week. I could listen from my lounge! Can’t miss Jimmy’s screaming.

    • BASSMAN says:

I am tired of Jimmy Barnes-his book spruiking, his ‘hard life’ in Glasgow, his drunken episodes, his whiskey sodden rages and rants, his failures in America, his long lost kids he has found that he previously abandoned. Gimmee a break. Does her ever stop? People have suffered much tougher times than him but do not go on about it perpetually like he does! He is a great singer/was and should just let his music tell the story.

      • Jean Baptiste says:

Great singer? He sounds like a constipated yowling tomcat.

        • BASSMAN says:

His early stuff, Choir Girl. Breakfast at Sweethearts, Bow River, Forever Now, Khe Sahn, Cheap Wine…all brilliant stuff…but his stuff AFTER Cold Chisel is mostly crap sad to say. Why do you think he keeps coming back to the Chisel…rebirth.

          • Jean Baptiste says:

Wasn’t too bad for mullet music in the early days, I’ll give you that. Always sounded a bit desperate vis a vis the voice but the players were good.

        • Boadicea says:

Agree JB. He doesn’t sing – just screams.

  • Dwight says:

    When will they learn?

Push to call Pakenham reserve ‘Parky McParkface’
Other suggestions include: “Reservie McReserveface”, “You know, that park where they have that thing”, and “Sold Above Reserve”.
