IF you’re like me, you’re sick to death of the Barnaby Joyce story already and it has only been out there for little more than a day.

And oh, how the Op-Eds rolled out, like a torrent spewed out by the terabyte.

What we might kindly call the new media babbled on about conspiracies between the press gallery and the parliament. Democracy denied was the collective shriek, as if the readers of these inner-city websites were exclusively the denizens of New England.

Joyce won New England with a 7 per cent swing and if an election was held in his seat tomorrow my best guess is he would win by a similar margin.

Even during the campaign Twitter knew. I knew and I didn’t care. Indeed, during the New England by-election campaign, mainstream media reported Joyce was no longer living at the family home. Any journalist worth his or her salt could have chased the story down.

    • Tracy says:

Well that was a waste of time, tried to watch the speed skating last night and all we got was that little white circle going round and round👿

You know JtI, Im not like you, because I cant get enough of frying Barnaby. Turn up the heat!
    .
However, bashing the idiot for being an idiot does become dull, so, I thought I would put in the positive.

Good Luck Natalie. That should be her new name. Once the lady gets over the grief of being betrayed by the beetroot lothario she will start to see, its not ‘all about Barnaby the Magnificent” anymore. Her life begins. A chance for growth, and rebirth. No more sacrificing everything for his career, his timetable, his moments in the sun. No more knowing who he is, and regretting saying yes. No more looking at his other bitch and knowing.
    .
A chance for study, for culture, for friends, sooo many new friends. Travel, adventure and more than anything, freedom. Freedom to do for yourself, when you want to. And finally, when you are ready there are the new men. Wonderful men, nice men, clever sexy men. Men you dont have to bow to, not ‘husbands’. Men that better entertain you, or they can bugger off. Men you can tell to bugger off!
All of the queen bed to yourself.
None of his smell in the house.
Omg, getting rid of MR. Beetroot Head, the girl doesnt know how lucky “Lucky Natalie” is…. yet. Cheers to a girlfriend. Her life is about to get better.
    cheers

ABC Insiders today, Mr Insider, and Mike Bowers talks pictures with SBS World News political reporter, Marija Zivic. Quite a bit on the very potent loins of Barnaby Joyce.

A question on notice, Jack, if you don’t mind.
The term “impregnated”, is that quaint journalese, or does it have use in the wider community as a polite form of “r00ted”? If the former, ladies & gents of the press, I must say “git yer hand off it”.

  • Razor says:

It would appear the tearful Ms Lamb may not have told the full truth regarding her citizenship woes. Should be enough in itself to refer her in my book.

    • Bella says:

So over the citizenship drama, on all sides Razor.
I bet they enjoy playing politics on our tab but it needs to end, like yesterday & quite frankly, not one of them ‘get’ how freaking low they’re regarded now by the general community.

      • Razor says:

I’d be over it if electricity Bill hadn’t been so hypocritical. Can’t stand hypocrites Bella, very shallow people who lack character.

        • Bella says:

C’mon Razor, there’s a truckload of very, very shallow people turning up to work in the big house who pretend to have morals when in actual fact they have no interest whatsoever in addressing the plight of our nation’s poorest & disadvantaged. Talk about hypocrites!

Homelessness is too ugly, too confronting so these unethical half-wits choose to ignore it while their corporate mates bask in the obscene good fortune of a compliant government.
You know this is true mate.

        • Dismayed says:

oh dear. Do not look in a mirror. Then again maybe that is where you self loathing comes from. No surprises. HAHAHAHAHA

          • Razor says:

What a very odd comment. Have you been skipping your meds again? Recently your posts have become more and more unhinged. In fact some are completely indecipherable and not relevant to the comment they are placed against. Is something worrying you?

  • Bill Grieve says:

So what happens now , does this mean Barnaby has child support payments for the next 16 or 18 years
Or will Centrelink look after the problem ? …

    • Milton says:

We will all look after the bub, Bill she/he will be an aussie and therefore one of us, family. This is what we are, one big happy collective village. Just think of Barnaby as a crazy nephew who did good before he got corrupted by the big city folks and Canberra. I wonder if we can get him snipped on the collective teat?! If not I get the feeling wraith will do it gratis.

    • Bella says:

That’ll make 5 child support payments Bill. 👣
No worries on the salary of a Deputy PM…….wait….

  • Boadicea says:

Amazing what a 20 month break from the high-fat corporate diningroom at Qld Nickel can do for the health -despite intensive cruise ship wining and dining.
An enterprising news reporter has tracked Mensink down in Bulgaria complete with glamorous East European on his arm.
He’s lost half his bodyweight – hardly recognisable. The only thing missing was a wig!

    • Bella says:

This fugitive did not ‘lose’ weight anywhere Boadicea, as it appears the wealthy can buy a risky surgical procedure (or six) that simply vacuums it out of the body. OMG how stupid can you be? 🚫

  • The Outsider says:

Razor, Lou & Dwight, what do you reckon about Donald Trump’s decision not to declassify Adam Schiff’s response to Devin Nunes’ memo.

Just something else we’ll need to “get used to”?

    • Dwight says:

The FBI says it contains “sources and methods” which I would bet the weasel deliberately put in there so he could go running to WaPo. He’s been told to take the sensitive stuff out and resubmit.

      • The Outsider says:

The FBI also advised that the Nunes memo was unfit for release. I understand that Trump approved the release of this even before he read it.

        What’s the difference?

I guess weasels only inhabit the Democrats and Trump is only thinking of national security.

      • Gryzly says:

I think it maybe more likely that the person on the WH staff responsible for buying the black sharpies is either busy with their Russian as Second Language course. marriage counselling or testing which roads in Washington could actually take the weight of a tank. Build that wall, lock her up but they are all very good people who work hard for the WH when they are not having secret society meetings.

    • Lou oTOD says:

An interesting article in the WSJ yesterday TO. If you subscribe, go read it.

To paraphrase, the FBi were desperate for somebody to spy on. Christopher Steele in retirement sold them the pup that he had unearthed intel none of the operating agencies of CIA, FBI and MI6 had been able to. They ignored the fact his paymaster Fusion GPS were getting funding from Hillary’s mob. The Trump-Russia story is not the layered drama of your dreams, but a black comedy.

My view is that now over a year since Tump was elected, the Dems still havent got passed first base in accepting they and Hillary lost it. The last ditch announcement by the FBI that they were investigating Hillary’s emails was one of the most limp wristed diversions of all time in what they were up to with Steele.

Perhaps the Dems might move on before it is too late, and find someone to lead them out of the valley of death.

      • The Outsider says:

Lou, the conspiracy theory about there being a deep state setting out to undermine Donald Trump is just that. Your conspiracy theory about the “Steele” diversion isn’t a bad one, either.

It’s curious that a number of GOP folk want Robert Mueller’s inquiry shut down, even though they keep say there’s “nothing to see”. There’s not much point in speculating about what else Mueller’s inquiry will uncover, in addition to two admissions of lying already, so sit back and enjoy the ride.

        • Gryzly says:

Very curious TO, very curious indeed. let Mueller run his investigation and if there is nothing there there is nothing there, all good. But consider the names Flynn, Manafort, Papadopolous, Sessions, Stone and the millinophillic Mr. Carter Page among others and the need for a look see would appear justified. The matter that has swung me was the American press found out about the visit of 3 Russian Ambassadors visiting Washington through a Kremlin press release. It seems bizarre.

        • Lou oTOD says:

Well TO it seems the much awaited and amplified Democrat memo will soon see the light of day, once security information is redacted or removed. Lets see how that pans out.

    • Razor says:

If it’s got covert methodology in there it shouldn’t be released.

  • Milton says:

I saw Turnbull on the box this morning at some nsw lib gig and he sounded like he was on a war footing or in election campaign mode, or both ! And am beginning to think he may lose more skin in the Joyce affair than the protagonist.
