This week the question has been firmly put. Should there be more Nazis on television or less, or for the grammar pedants out there, fuhrer?
All right. That’s a really bad joke. The point is that so many people including journalists have got this horribly wrong.
Cotterill needs to be confronted, subjected to scrutiny and forensically cross-examined.
What to call him then? The media has cobbled together several terms, all of them fairly unhelpful, including activist, patriot and ultra-right wing extremist. On Channel 7 he was described as one member of a group who were planning to put “a neighbourhood watch group together”.
Let’s start with what he is. Mr Cottrell is a violent criminal, having been convicted of arson, stalking, aggravated burglary, trafficking in steroids and breaching interventions orders. He added racial vilification to his rap sheet earlier this year.
Full column here.
i’ll try again.
Hello?
Hi Carl..😊
Malcolm:-proof on 2 things please that are the raison d’être for your govt. please.
1. Provide proof that the NEG will reduce electricity prices when wholesale prices have DOUBLED under your Looters. It was never the carbon tax was it? Because as Credlin said…there never was a carbon tax. You made it up!
2. Provide proof that if companies are given billions of dollars in tax relief (when only 17% of companies pay the full rate and one third pay ZILCH anyway) wages will rise.
You could also ask Q2 to Keating and Bowen.
No. Not really. Keating had not doubled net debt and incurred half a trillion gross debt. Household debt was not the highest debt in the world and foreign debt had not tripled. There was an ability to pay for things in those days.
Tell that to all those who paid +17% interest on their home loans BASSY.
You side stepped the point, Bassman. And don’t speak bullshit about the ability to pay for things in those days. Did you have a mortgage in those days? I have heard first hand from labor supporters the difficulties under Keating’s rule.
We’re being scammed.
The NEG is a front for new coal & the billions for big corporates has Fiberal bs written all over it.
…and the half billion given to the Barrier Reef round table is run by a heap of miners, bankers and climate deniers.
Did anyone ever receive the $550 price reduction Promised by abbott? No, prices have more than doubled since then due to this coalition government “policies” or lack of. Now trumble wants the Nation to believe a “policy” put together by his handpicked board whose modelling deifies logic in that somehow with NO investment in generation after 2020 prices somehow drop? Everyone will receive a reduction of $550 again oh but that is not until 2025. What a disgracefully dishonest government, but wait, the con gets better people actually support them. Man there are some dumb cons sheep like wandering around. No surprises. Baa baa.
2025??? Is this a joke?
It’s like the Fibs actually believe their own shite.
First the fossil-fuel resources front for ‘saving’ the Reef now onto us paying for a future without renewables. You can’t make this up.
2025! Whoopee.
The caption to a photo of Winx reads:
“Racing is a bit of a laugh for champion mare, Winx, which has not tasted defeat under race conditions in 40 months”
I would have written “who has not tasted defeat”…….
The use of “which” felt strange.
Is a horse just an object then? Bloody hell, she is a mammal – and runs fast too.
If people refer to her as “she”, then surely, according to the caption they should be saying “it”?
“Who” refers to a person or people. Was the article written by a horse? It might be correct for a horse to refer to another horse as “who” but “which” is correct if used by people to describe the action of horses.
I”m assuming the writer is a human who has been spending too much time with horses if they can be so presumptuous as to state “Racing is a bit of a laugh for champion mare, Winx……………………………. ”
This all reminds me of a story which is possibly apocryphal that ends with a greyhound spluttering “Well f ,f,f f *** me sideways, a talking horse!”
Maybe she’s LGBTQI, Boa.
What does LGBTQI mean Bald? I keep forgetting. Is it the camp?
Clearly some see racehorses as just a ‘commodity’ to be exploited for human entertainment Boadicea.
I’d say ‘wot’
“The NEG is just another Coalition energy policy disaster. Unfortunately, as it piles mistake upon blunder upon bastardry, the Coalition now risks a doubling of power prices in the next five years.” “The NEG does nothing to end the climate wars nor lower costs. By delaying the cheap renewables roll-out it makes both far worse. By involving the entire parliament in setting mitigation targets it makes both far worse. By adding byzantine complexity to the only functional market left in Aussie energy, the wholesale bidding system, it makes both far worse. By entrenching monopolies it makes both far worse. By missing Paris climate targets it makes both far worse. By forcing mitigation onto every sector other than energy it makes both far worse. Above all, by camouflaging the real problem, the gas cartel price gouge, it makes both far worse.” No Surprises.
Quote your source when you cut and paste
make up your mind, you have been whinging for years that you don’t read links. Open your eye and get yourself informed instead of blindly following and supporting your toxic coalition.
I read links. Not yours though. And I dont bother with cut and pastes that aren’t attributed to the author
the coalition and it’s supporters lies continue to be highlighted. “Coal power is not “dispatchable”. So any new public power station will either lose money hand-over-fist switching on and off too late or it will remain switched on permanently (subsidised by you and I) and displace some other marginal supply. That will be gas. ” “Thus any new coal power station that takes 5-10 years to build will be obsolete and keeping prices higher than otherwise before it generates a single watt of power. This is why No private capital will do it. And all of this before we consider that the price of coal will keep rising as carbon is priced globally, one way or another.” NEG, coalition lies and their supporters are a disgrace. No surprises
Seems to be a future in continuing to use CFPP’s around the world Dismayed. If our RE subsidies were removed perhaps we would see an interest in investing in CCT here also.

cotc linking to denialist sites does not help your ridiculous position. India and China have stopped the construction of Hundreds of coal fired plants in the last couple of years. A Chinese province has been running on Renewable solely. I am Dismayed due to willfully ignorant people like you who actively seek out that sort of denialist rubbish to reconfirm your fixed false beliefs. The usual very poor effort from you cotc. Stop failing the Nation open your eye or just stop embarrassing yourself by confirming your ridiculous views. Tell us cotc do you have home insurance or health insurance or car insurance or any sort of insurance against the possibility you may need recover from something that occurs? Do you want the best and latest technology from a Dr or just stick with the old leeches and tea leave reading? Seriously move along people like you continue to fail this Nation. No Surprises.
Your continuous snarly responses underlie the paucity, fragility and overall weakness of your argument Dismayed. You been overdosing on that Platinum Creatine mate?
And just what do you think the Chinese, Indians, Japanese et al are doing with all those record shipments of clean coal we export?

Eric Abetz on Q@A tonight, Mr. Insider. There’s your sleeping tablet folks! Cheers
I’m not the only one who thinks he lives in loopy la-la land. 😨
I flicked past and thought I saw Don King?
He was a cool dude who was quite kind to Eric, who was blathering on in usual form.. A good Christian no doubt (the preacher I mean) they landed up best buddies! Eric seemed thrilled – probably feeling a bit friendless these days after having blown the Braddon election for his party. I don’t normally watch QandA but stayed with ABC and got the impression it was more cordial than the usual
He’s probably in talk with Tony “‘The Denier” Abbott. He never fights out of the red corner btw, always the blue for a blue.
The 38th Consecutive Negative Newspoll for the Turnbull Government today, Mr insider. As you said in a post recently the “Death March” has begun. Goodbye Malcolm thanks for coming big boy.

Still one of the greatest feats of Mankind imho, Mr. Insider, Apollo 11 on the way to take man to the Moon in July 1969. There still remains a ragged handful of doubters but those who take the time to study the complete picture are in the majority. Onwards and upwards as we now focus on MARS.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UExTN3_UOIY
Forget Mars, Henry I was just watching the news and man will soon be landing on the sun! It must be a fair way away as it will take them about 3 months to get there (with no stopovers). And yes, as night follows day, our favourite naysayer will say it can’t be done.
Wow Milton I say the Sun a bit warm isn’t it they will have trouble getting Astronauts to give that gig a go although the Australian Parliament does have some able candidates. Cheers
They have special suits, Henry and on the face masks they have a Julie Bishop mask with her special stare that tends to chill the spine and boots of anything it gazes upon.
All these technological advances and we still have the fitted sheet. You try and fold one, old mate.
Let me know when someone intends to go as much 1000 kilometres from the terra firma. That would be very interesting.
And no, man is not going to the sun. An unmanned craft will go to about 6 million kilometres from the sun. Clearly you have no idea what the sun is, if you did you would realise why there is no possibility of humans venturing outside of the magnetosphere, or anywhere near that far.
6 million k’s? Is that rounded up or down? And where did you get that ridiculous figure from? Hopefully not those fraudsters at NASA. Better still i’ll ask Henry.
Not the same weird place you got your “manned expedition to the sun” idiocy from. Me no go there!
“doubters” No doubt whatsoever Henry, most humans are trained idiots from birth who will believe anything they are told to believe.
