A political schism once begun cannot be stopped. It develops a force of its own and moves in ways that cannot be controlled. The consequences can only be appreciated after the fires have been extinguished.

Scott Morrison will be sworn in as the 30th Prime Minister of Australia. The fight is not over. In many ways, it has only just begun. He won the spill 45 votes to Dutton’s 40. Julie Bishop was knocked out in the first round of voting. Morrison’s deputy is Josh Frydenberg.

Malcolm Turnbull’s delaying tactics allowed Morrison to assemble the numbers. He almost certainly did not have them yesterday.

n the comings days, expect the words “healing”, “repair”, “revival” and “restoration” to be vomited out of a thesaurus by senior Liberal figures. These words will be a nonsense, yet another damning exercise in the party’s obsession with introspection.

Yes, as a political agnostic I thought the Member for Maribyrnong’s parting words to the merchant banker ( one lefty to another) amounted to nothing more than an insincere gob full of over-refined saccharine.

Hopefully TA will pull his head in now that he’s achieved what he wanted
Slight problem in that he’s also cost Dutton his seat for sure next election. But Dutts should know that if you lie down with dogs you get fleas.
I think Morrison should be given a chance. Thank God we got him and not Dutts. Every cloud has z silver lining

I just replied to Dwight, Jack and got Jack Sprat in the address section again. He’s a popular boy it seems
    And in this comnent too

  • Milton says:

Jack – how long does the “honeymoon period” linger for these days?? And will bounce get a run soonish?

Putting aside all the chaos and looking purely at the man I do feel that Scott Morrison will make a good PM, Mr. Insider. Sadly he may not get his full due as the next Federal Election will in all likelihood wipe the Coalition out and thus he may not spend too much time as PM as Labor’s William Richard Shorten awaits his ascendency to the top Office.
Yes, Scott is a “happy clappy” at the Hillsong Church but that’s not a crime.
He has a lovely Family as shown in the linked article.

YOU SAY…“Finally, somebody tells it like it is”. And mention the SMH…yes agree a middle of the road rag. But I will endorse Jack’s reply to you.
I watch Jack VERY closely for bias. He is very balanced….as I always say…count his columns for and against. Very fair. None partisan whilst others run into the hundreds for one side. If Labor wins in 2019 and are handing out the IV Drip, Jack will become incredibly valuable property at The Oz!

Interesting that Lib pollies have received thousands of emails stating Dutts would be totally unsuitable
as PM because of his dog-whistling racist comments, his treatment of children, the deaths in camps and his refusal to participate in the apology to the Aborogines.

the real estate property council are doing cartwheels today that their man from the hillsong horizon is in the chair. Look for more fuel for the property market very soon.
