Have you ever thought you might be a secret Italian? Maybe you’re a Canadian and never knew, eh? Perhaps you quietly pine for the fjords of New Zealand but don’t know why?

See, here’s me thinking the Australian Parliament and the Senate in particular had become a freak show P.T. Barnum have been proud to tour the world with, but really it’s just a run of the mill soapie.

It’s a series of Home and Away scripts where the chilly winters of Canberra are replaced by the constant sunshine of Summer Bay.

That time of year coming up fast, Jack. 1st sitting week after the skiing break. Riviera tans on glorious display, new hairdos, remarkable weight loss, facial hair.
The winds of change whistling round the corridors. Will I be more patriotic, or more partisan or be pragmatic & have a bob each way?
I’m seeing Nick X with a bald fade more likely than Turnbull with Deakinite beard.
Are your spies bringing in any tips?

Bill Shorten getting way too cocky imho, Mr Insider, as he calls for a vote on Australia becoming a Republic “when” he becomes PM! As that fabulous Barnaby Joyce says and I quote and take note Billy: “Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce has mocked the idea of a yes or no vote on the republic, arguing it won’t deliver jobs in North Queensland”. Spot on Barnaby and Bill needs to concentrate on the bread and butter issues that are affecting Australians. Lets “Make Australia Great Again”. That’s a great saying, wonder who I stole that off!

I know you’re fishing Nossy but you do write some trip at times.

Further to your insightful (or was it inciteful?) comment, Henry I now read in this paper that “The NSW ALP conference looks set to pass a resolution urging the next federal Labor government to recognise Palestine.” Forget about your bread and butter, these people are mad. Will the republic, ssm, Palestine and other such niche issues pay the bills? No Bill.

Which part? The one where the President for Life is in the 11th year of his four-year term and subsidizes terrorists, or the one that calls on trees and rocks to reveal the Jews hidden behind them so they can be killed?

      • Henry Blofeld says:

Shorten a bloody wally imho Milton and sadly he may fall into the PMship per medium of hopeless Turnbull. Cheers. P.S. put another APB out for JB just in case he’s in North Korea. POTUS Trump may wish to “construct” a new “Car Park” out of that Country soon!

      • Dwight says:

Now it appears the ALP is trying to rid itself of Michael Danby.

  • Boadicea says:

Wasn’t it great to see McCain delver the coup de grace to Trump’s repeal of Obamacare! Revenge can be sweet

Those wild eyes hidden behind … Saigon – mirror sun glasses may be a hint as to his next move.
Wouldn’t put it past the Mooch to pull out a Gerber MiniMagnum for his next foray into staff renewal.

if you think a New Yorker journo is gunna sit on an anti-Trump story perhaps WH Comms Director is not quite the job for you.

  • Henry Blofeld says:

Anthony Scaramucci you magnificent bastard! While we here in Australia play “tiddly winks” and “spot the Aussie”, Mr Insider, POTUS Trump has lobbed a political grenade into the tent to flush out those not up to the task and he’s the brash, rich, super confident 53yo Anthony Scaramucci, now the new Communications Director. In a few days he has got two scalps, Sean Spicer and now Reince Preibus. Thanks for coming boys but this is the big league! Scaramucci, who is not afraid to use “salty” language, reports directly to POTUS Trump. John Kelly now the new White House Chief of Staff. I love this Trump White House!

    • Milton says:

The potty language has to stop, Henry. If he played in the NRL he’d be sacked. And whilst it’s an obvious stereotype he looks like a character in the Soprano’s that ends up frozen, bloodied and dead in the back of a meat truck.

      • Henry Blofeld says:

Anthony did say Milton he would tone it down a “bit” however refreshing to see someone not being so bloody politically correct. No cup of tea and a bickie in Trumps White House for being politically correct or being a stereotype Politician. POTUS Trump now surrounding himself with business people and moving away from the Republican Party people like Spicer and Priebus. Clever move imho. Cheers. P.S. still no sign of JB, must be sunning himself in Havana!

    • Bella says:

Egotistic Trump is stocking the WH with military personnel & you think that’s a good thing?
You’ve got to take those blinkers off man, it’s a mess.

    • Bella says:

Yes Henry, Scaramucci so magnificent, he’s been sacked.
      Musical chairs anyone……👹

  • Tracy says:

Priebus gone according to the Wash post.

    • Jack The Insider says:

About six minths earlier than he had planned. The White House is a shambles.

      • JackSprat says:

I often fantasize about what would have happened if Hillary had won.
Would Bill and Mrs Merkel have gotten together?
Putin and Hillary – nah that would;d never happen.
Bill and Mrs May – don’t think so – she does not exude power.
Bill and Mrs Trump – well she likes older men but once is enough.

        • Lou oTOD says:

There will be no cigars in the Oval Office while I’m in charge says Melania. Bill can find his own fun, if he remembers what that is.

        • Not Finished Yet says:

Bill and Mrs Trump? I dunno JS, given her dreadful choice in men it just could happen.

  • Boadicea says:

Was Scaramucci perhaps as high as a kite on something with that ”locker room” talk?
