Humble servant of the Nation

Neil Prakash is about to enter years of hell

Australian terrorist Neil Prakash is before the Turkish courts. It is just the beginning of his punishment. Eventually, it is hoped he be returned to Australia to face punishment for his crimes.

Born in Melbourne of Fijian and Cambodian parents, the 25-year-old is an Australian citizen and so he’s our problem but like patrons at the deli counter at Woolworths, Australia will have to take a number and wait to get its hands on Prakash.

He is, to employ the vernacular, in more shit than a Werribee duck. I could be more sensitive and suggest he’s in more strife than the early settlers but I don’t think the early settlers ever did it as tough as he soon will.

Hey, you, ghastly person. If I was less of a human I wouldnt tell you about this place:

    .
I have stayed in the main house, the dining room ceiling alone is worth the pittance they charge per night. Beautiful gardens right in the heart, and I do mean on the parklands, in the city.
Behave and mind your rotten manners, these people are ladies.

    • Razor says:

Welcome back Wraith. Hope all is well. Looks like a cracker of a house!

    • Jean Baptiste says:

So you say. They look like a wild bunch of geriatric delinquents on the turps to me. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.

      • Tracy says:

Probably having more fun than the poor sods in an Aveo village, horrifying!s

        • JackSprat says:

From what I can gather Tracey Aveo is par.
I would love to see their executive bonus scheme – pounds to peanuts it depends on “churn”

          • Lou oTOD says:

Another Four Corners beat up JS. Go to the national papers today and read Aveo’s response, chapter and verse. Better still go to the ASX and read their 19 page response to ABC which was roundly ignored by th producers putting the program together.

There should be a process by which the ABC has to pay recompense for the commercial damage some of their grossly inaccurate and sensational programs cause to industry.

Hi wraith, this girl’s hoping you’ll stick around for a while.
I have really missed your all or nothing turn of phrase!
      Keep strong.

A typically constructive effort from Tony Abbott on Ray Hadley re Christopher Pyne’s views on SSM. Peta Credlin isn’t much better, with her piece about the message being much more important than the delivery. Abbott and Credlin failed dismally on both counts.

I wish that the Libs had allowed Abbott to contest the last election. Despite all of Abbott’s standard bearers holding up the 2013 election result as the reference point, it wasn’t. The electorate’s views of Abbott’s government had well and truly moved on from that point, following Abbott’s policy and strategic gaffes.

This song title sums up Abbott and Credlin well: https://www.google.com.au/search?q=living+in+the+past&oq=living+in+the+past&aqs=chrome..69i57j0l5.5175j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

It was the Prince Phillip thing that did it for me. That particular brain snap did incredible damage. Exactly at that point people said ‘Whoa! What the fxxk have we got here!’

We will never know what would have happenned but I still do not think the result would have been much different. A seat or two either way. There are a whole pile of conservatives who didn’t and never will vote for Turnbull. Those seats resting in regional Australia in the main. The thing with Turnbull is that he is loved by Laborites and hated by lots of Liberals and Nats. The Laborites will still never vote for him and a fair percentage of the Libs and Nats won’t. So what happens? Enter Pauline Hanson to take the disaffected right and the members of the redneck working class who would otherwise vote Labor.

Watch the next Qld election and you will see what I mean. I haven’t voted state Labor in years but I am currently toying very much with the idea.

      • Boadicea says:

Oh Razor! Labor in Qld?????? Surely not. I’d probably not vote for anyone if I lived there.

        • Razor says:

I can’t trust Tim Nichols Boa. He was Newmans bean counter remember. He couldn’t care less about rural or regional areas. He’s a lawyer from Ascot for gods sake!

Labor are currently supporting Coal mining and pouring good dollars into the regions. The way the electorate has been here in the last 10 to 20yrs Labor need to assist the regions or lose. The latte sippers haven’t got the swing in Qld they have in the other states.

I hate to waste my vote by donkeying and would never vote One Nation. I’ll see what non green independents are in my seat as I will be living back in Brissy looking at your beloved Stradbroke Island by the time of the next election.

Terrorist eh? what about the government falling over themselves to spruik a convicted criminal and known liar and National Security threat that released top secret information not just non secret information like others who are vilified. turnbull, brandis and co do the Petraeus betray us 2 step. Talk about hypocrisy.

  • Henry Blofeld says:

Goodness, Mr Insider, Peta Credlin really puts the “slipper” into PM Turnbull in this hard hitting article. You might think she despises said PM!

There has been a recognition, too, of the dangers of keeping terror suspects in jail where, much like mafia bosses before them, prison is seen as a prime territory for recruiting and networking.
Meanwhile, Bachar Houli – gawwwn! Three weeks?

  • BASSMAN says:

Look at this letter somebody wrote. As I have said all along, the Looters will destroy Medicare incrementally, over time, as Snedden and Howard have publically said they would. This (below) won’t worry anyone with a reasonable income. It is clearly aimed to hurt just the poor and the vulnerable. How cruel are these bastards:-

“My Mum is a cancer patient and on a disability pension and every 5 -12 weeks she has to have blood tests taken. One of these tests is no longer covered by Medicare and cost 60 dollars each time she has to have it.
Some times she has to have the test twice in 6 weeks a total of $120 dollars. Due to health issues her self and my Dad are unable to work and therefore are on disability pension.
So $120 in 6 weeks is a lot of money to pay out of one’s pension. This test used to be covered by Medicare and since all the changes it no longer is. It is unfair and cruel and it should be covered by Medicare.”

    • Razor says:

      Source please Bassy?

      • Dismayed says:

No source needed. You obviously ignored the cuts to pathology services when they were announced last year.

        • Razor says:

Interesting there is no link just a typed out ‘Letter’. Bassy has been caught before………

Also interesting the letter doesn’t mention which pathology services. All major pathology companies have announced there are no changes and will continue to bulk bill albeit grudgingly.

      • JackSprat says:

It was a letter in change.org trying to start a petition

      • BASSMAN says:

Turnbull’s complaints about the ‘Mediscare Lie’ are unfounded. It was not a lie. The Liberals will not privatise Medicare in the near future. What they will do, is destroy Medicare incrementally, slowly, via a sort of Mission Creep. As Bill Sneddon said in 1974…. “It doesn’t care how long it takes, we will destroy Medicare over time”. In 1984 Howard said he would “Stab Medicare in the stomach”. He also said he wanted to “Take a scalpel to Medicare”. The Liberals have always had form on this. It is in their DNA. You see the Liberals don’t like public “anything”. Public schools, public transport, the public broadcaster, public healthcare-in short they just don’t like the public! Freezing bulk billing rates for years, outsourcing payments, cutting funds to hospitals (e.g. $150million from Westmead hospital), using the private insurance carrot, huge gaps and out of pocket expenses for specialists visits, x-rays, pathology, breast screening, drugs and medications-this is how the Liberals will dismantle Medicare. Piece by piece as Snedden said- “over time” Razor. Don’t under estimate the Liberals. Like all cruel taskmasters they are very patient.

      • BASSMAN says:

The letter was sent to me by a Canberra musician. He knows I am interested in such things.

      • BASSMAN says:

          • Razor says:

Long time since I’ve had a beer at the Inala Hotel JB. In my day it was an ‘eclectic’ crew. We all voted for Hawkey and all was good in the world.

        • Razor says:

          Bassy,
Here’s a hint. Some stories don’t pass the smell test. Take your ‘letter’ for example. Do you honestly believe in the current political climate a letter like that would not have been published in The Age or Guardian at minimum? Wouldn’t you think the opposition would have been on it like a seagull on a chip? There would have been questions in parliament and outrage. You see even politicians and Fairfax are a little careful these days. When something is too good to be true it generally is.

That is of course unless you are part of the apparatus spreading the fake news……………..

    • Bella says:

Piece by piece they’re slashing Medicare rebates by the dozen.
The Fibs hate providing anything ‘free’ unless it’s for themselves but
shush, they don’t want anyone to notice.
And they want us to believe the CFMEU are the criminals.

      • Boadicea says:

To be fair Bella, they have also included hugely expensive, life-saving cancer drugs. It’s not a bottomless pit of money and people are obviously going to find they have drugs now excluded that they used to get rebated.
I think the health system in this country is fantastic.. We are spoilt and don’t appreciate it.. try landing up at an emergency in another country – any country.

One of the IS leaders came out of Indonesia.
He learned is ideology at a school that spouted extremist Islamic Wahhabism which of course originates and is funded by the Saudis.
The Saudi Royal family is totally dependent on the clergy to keep them in power and the price is funding mosques and schools around the world to spread the word.
It looks as though the the West has decided that they can tolerate this if it keeps Iran in check, gets rid of Assad, gives the Russians a black eye and keeps the oil flowing.

A short interview with Joseph Chinyong Liow is worth listening to, he touches on the problem in Indonesian prison system.

  • Wissendorf says:

Your suggestion about Mazcquarie Island is excellent, but has the shortcomings you mention. Could I recommend Australia’s other sub Antarctic paradise, Heard Island? ANARE have leftsome buildings that could provide shelter and if the inhabitants are feeling a bit chilly, they can move closer to the volcano; Heard has Australia’s only active volcano. Minimal staff necessary and they can watch the whole place by CCTV from tiny McDonald Island nearby. Land the scumbags and give them some goats and vittles for a year or so and leave them to it. No communication at all with the outside world. Get sick, that’s too bad. No doctor for 5000km. No time peices or calendars. An airdrop of food once a year, 100% not halal.

Islands have a long history as effective and escape proof prisons. Ile de Diable, Alcatraz, St Helena (Atlantic and Moretin Bay), Norfolk, Tasmania, Ryker’s Island; the list is long and chilling. Heard looks just the ticket.

    • JackSprat says:

      All for it Henry.
The future lies with the highly intelligent.
We have and produce enough dumb clucks in this country without adding to to the pool.
As to Labor’s argument that it will produce a two class society – the answer to that is if one cannot speak and understand English, one cannot take part in the wider community and one is forever trapped in one’s ethic community. The drain on the public purse is considerable – from interpreters, multi-lingual forms, special needs for health care, special needs for old age care – the list just goes on and on.
It probably did not matter when there were a few immigrant groups but now there are so many with different languages that something has to give.

      • Henry Blofeld says:

I hear what you are saying, JackSprat, however suggest in this politically correct Australia we would be howled down to suggest that “dumb clucks” arnt given an equal chance, possibly hence our massive yearly Welfare Bill which has gone now to close to $200 Billion p.a. But as you rightly point out our “direction” should be upward not downward. In the meantime I shall start packing for “other climes” having not done too well in the tests! Cheers
