Mother and child disunion

Here I was all set to knock out a Christmas column full of cheer and bonhomie but life, or more accurately, Daily Life has intervened.

I normally disapprove of intra-media byplays but Fairfax Media’s Daily Life section has become so full of cranky third wave feminism that someone needs to hold it up to the light. Among this waste of ink and kilobyte street corner psychobabble, comes a contribution from self described feminist Polly Dunning who tells her harrowing tale of giving birth to a shame boy. The good news is she’s slowly getting over it.

I’m not allowed to swear anymore, at least not at volume but this is sorely testing my already fragile grip on self-control.

At first blanch this was merely another addition from women who have recently given birth and have come to believe that having done so, they have unlocked the secrets of the universe. But on further reading this is a tale of a woman not just at war with men but also her own male child.

Full column here.

No comment please Dismayed from your monkey peanut gallery old mate!

Happy New Year, Jack, all the denizens who dwell here.

  • Milton says:

Dismayed – if the future is as you say, hot air and wind, I’ve no need to wish you a happy new year as you are a sure fire thing. But happy new years all the same, Dismayed.
And if you’ll condone a little more brown nosing from me to our host (you’d be surprised, and so would I, the benefits I receive from such arse licking – your comment it would seem is yet another pre-pubescent issue you may, or not, face up to) i’d like to wish Jack and his crew and our mob a great 2017. I’m somewhat partied out but I had a hot prof of psyche checking me out and if that’s not a goer (her hubby is a lot muscly) her mum is happy to cruise the world with me. This is why I normally stay home on NY’s. But the wife insisted I go!

      Milt,
When I last mentioned Dismals prepubescent activities, with a short reference to his ancestors, mother Penny jammed me. Be careful……..JTI printed then scrubbed it………

Well you read some weird stuff Razor.
It would be depressing to dwell on the reality that so many dopey sleepwalkers still believe that humans landed on the moon in 1969. So I don’t. If any of them want to debate it instead of just slinging crap then I will wipe the floor with them. So leave it out . I’m laughing at you.
No wonder we’re up the creek with global warming if people are so bloody thick they cant even work the Apollo scam out !
    What did Einstein say?
“There are only two things that are infinite. The universe and human stupidity, and I’m not certain about the former.”
And he meant it. He wasn’t just having a bad day. The great gormless mass of human nongery trained and brainwashed from birth to believe any garbage they have rammed down their throats.
Just keep on regurgitating Razor, what do I know, your head just might fall off or the debil might getcha if you start thinking for yourself.
But have a great New Year.

    You too. Write more often.

Deniers are getting desperate now! Of course the sea levels are rising, and in Venice too. That’s why they are spending huge sums to construct barriers against the sea. All we are seeing here is an unusually low tide in conjunction with a paucity of rain, and probably low atmospheric pressure.
Venice is experiencing more floods than ever.
Do you know someone with basic comprehension skills and the patience to explain it to you?

My innuendo has left you speechless and breathless? Of course it has, why are you surprised? I’m the guy of biblical proportions from Ezekiel 23-20. I have that effect.
Could you send Trevor Snott around to my place. There may be hope for him yet with the appropriate therapy.

    Cheers. Give ’em heaps.

Will you explain this to Rodent and his mates?

      &
Malcolm Roberts made to look stupid-by the way is not very hard! He says NASA ad the world’s science community is a conspiracy, rigging the science on climate change (!) The problem with climate deniers is they don’t want to know the facts. If I were Prof Cox I would have asked Mad Roberts “Well what would it take you to believe that the earth is warming”. No matter what science or ANY evidence is presented to these people their politics and ideology transcends the science and logical thinking.

But they’re saying Venice is sinking………read the article !

  • Trivalve says:

    Happy new year Insiderzens!

  • Yvonne says:

PS. Malcolm is finished. Any bets anyone?

    • BASSMAN says:

A shame really. He could become himself if he had the guts. He should risk it…he is not in it for the money…he has heaps. It must be about power. But he has none. The right has him by the proverbials. Unless he takes them on yep he is finished. U are right.
      &

He should go to the lectern unannounced, without warning and what PM power he has left and:-announce a vote on camp marriage; act on his true 18C beliefs; announce the pulling out of America’s wars and the closing down of the island prisons on budget emergency grounds (these 2 alone would save billions and billions in one hit, keep the boats turnarounds which work); reintroduce a carbon tax which makes the polluters pay instead of the taxpayers; introduce a mining tax like Norway and other countries have which benefits Australians instead of big business to stop 80% of profits going out of the country (WA and Qld have mining taxes like Swans! Never hear Abbott screaming about them?); cancel the planes and submarines and save (according to the Oz $300billion over time) until we have the money to pay for them.
      &

Our economy would be much better off, Turnbull would improve in the polls and the hard right would be finished because his anticipated poll improvement would silence them. Shorten, at last, would be finished too.We would see the end of Tony as well. He would probably take a corporate gig with his mining mates like gravel throat McFarlane and Robb did.

      • plmo says:

        B’ man

You seem too readily to discount our ‘Cabinet’ government – The Prime Minister is not a ‘President’ or ‘ Dictator’. He is there to lead within the party or coalition that elects him Leader.

He (they) offered a vote on ‘camp marriage’ – the ‘progressives rejected it!!

Pulling out of ‘America’s Wars’ at a time of such transition in USA politics would hardly seem smart. Indeed the benefits of our Alliance is both strategic and tactical, particularly in counter-terrorism etc.

Close down the island prisons but keep the turnbacks – the turnbacks only work because the island prisons reduce the flow to manageable proportions.

Mining Tax and Sovereign Wealth Funds – missed the boat by about 15 years. These things need to be introduced at the start of the ‘mining boom’ not at the tailend. Collectively we chose to have tax-cuts in lieu!!

Cancel the planes and the subs – these are in fact ‘weapons systems’ not just airframes / hulls. To acquire and learn to operate such systems over 40 years requires longterm planning. You can not just get the weapons system when the ‘balloon goes up’!!

After all, why would a Liberal / National Party want to introduce a mixture of Labor / Green policies?

Not going to happen. Turnbull will muddle through until late 2018 / 2019 when an election is due. If he is really lucky we (collectively) will fall into the fiscal hole, recession will bite, unemployment will climb and interest rates will too!! Then and only then will we take note of the incessant warnings provided over the last three years or so. Coalition will dispense the medicine and then get chucked out!!

        • darren says:

You were going ok there PLMO until you wrote that the coalition will dispense the Medicine. The only medicine the coalition has dispensed in the last 30 years has generally been of the opioid variety and they rarely bother to work up a diagnosis before they write the prescription. Unfortunately my diagnosis is that you’re dreaming.. Here’s what will happen: the libnats will dither and I fight internally and then get booted in a landlslide. Simple as that.

      • Yvonne says:

Jeepers Bassy. Can we have you as PM? Happy New Year too

    • Henry Blofeld says:

An absolute goner Yvonne what a huge disappointment Turnbull has been right when we need sound strong leadership we get a dim wit like him!

    • Carl on the Coast says:

Wasn’t aware that he’d even started anything Yvonne.

    • plmo says:

      Yvonne

Given no one else seems game to take up the challenge, I will!! But let’s extend the prediction (projection) a little wider.

Turnbull will remain Leader of the Libs and thus Prime Minister (short of acts of God) through all of 2017.

He will introduce a ‘withering’ Budget in May, using a permutation of ‘Banana Republic’ shock tactics.

He will defy the Senate to knock it back, by linking passage to most if not all of the ‘ferals’ pet projects – think Submarines, New Mine Railroads!!

The Wager – bragging rights in the equivalent column December 2017!!!

    • Carl on the Coast says:

I see that Joe Kelly in The Aus filed a reoprt on our PM’s new year’s message. Apparently economics and national security are the twin prioritories the government will be driving during 2017.

It begs the question however, that if our nation is one of the most peaceful multicultural societies in the world, as the PM declared, why is one of the most important national tasks ahead of us “to root out Islamic terrorists and violent extremists and put them behind bars”?

      A messaging problem perhaps? Again.

      • Razor says:

Not really Carl. The issue is the return of fighters from the ME. It will become a massive problem over the next two years. More than happy for JTI to give you my email addy and explain a bit more.

    • Razor says:

He’s done Yvonne……. but please not Morrison!
