The Donald said he was going to do it and now he is.
The Great Wall of the Rio Grande, the Trump Wall will stretch almost 2,000 miles (3,100kms) from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico, putting a gleam in the eye of graffiti artists everywhere. Banksy is said to be drooling in anticipation.
The estimated cost of this stunning feat of architecture is anywhere between $10 and $20 billion depending on who you listen to. Construction time is also a bit of a back-of-the-envelope exercise but by the time an exhausted bricklayer slaps the last bit of mortar on it, it is probable Donald Trump will be around 90 years of age.
In centuries to come anthropologists will marvel at it and wonder what far-sighted genius brought it into existence. Maybe even an old shyster like Erich Von Daniken will propose some unlikely theory that the Trump Wall was built by God who arrived by spaceship with the blueprint and a couple of trillion tons of prefabricated concrete.
Full column here.
10 out of 10 to POTUS Trump for doing what he promised at the election Mr Insider. What a breath of fresh air this man is.
(You know youre as crazy as a sock don’t you, you old Hairy Bourke. Btw how’s Caboolture these days)
Wrong guy Wraith I live in Sydney my friend the best city in Australia.
Henry, when someone promises to shit in your sock and then does so, your admiration for their fealty tends to be relatively subdued.
Makes a difference to running the joint when you have control of the senate! Democrats decided to boycott the sitting to confirm the various appointments – so they just went ahead without them!
Wouldn’t have made any difference to the result, but the Dems need to front up and at least listen to what’s being said.
Why? The republicans didnt during Obama’s time.
In 2 years after the mid terms this situation will flip and the republicans will have a problem in the senate. Thats going to be very interesting. The pigeons will really come home to roost then.
Same old game everywhere Darren. Here too. It’s getting tiresome .
Yes and particularly in the case of Gorsuch:

So Steve Bannon reckons he’s the Thomas Cromwell of the White House according to an article in the SMH this morning, someone should point out that didn’t work out too well.
Seems to me that Labor ought to be thinking about installing a leader who presents better than Shorten.
Because, imo, as the right fractures. that’s the only factor that may be a stumbling block to snatching government.
BLEAK today…brilliant and VERY VERY funny. A return to the laugh…at last!! There have been a few great toons lately from Bill. Hope he stays with the humour.

Asks: “But what did he say Carl? Did he come up with any plans?”
I thought Turnbull’s “energy technology agnostic” statement was obviously the centrepiece of his speech, Penny.
It may not have been a light bulb moment for the assembled motley mob (with a few exceptions) of NPC journos. But I reckon Turnbull cleverly ruled out, in just one quick unintended three word slogan, any likelihood of coalescing or intermingling of religion with applied sciences. In this regard, he appeared to go to great pains in explaining that his government would not be hiding its light under a bushel just to keep the camp fires burning.
Well …., I think that’s what he said.
In any event, and particularly in light of the Opposition’s RET policy, I doubt that Bill Shorten’s Labor could hold a candle to the government on that score.
What say you Penny?
Turnbull has revealed he donated $1.75 million of his own money to the Liberal Party for last year’s federal election campaign. Dragged kicking and screaming by his colleagues after his National Press Club back down, his minders figured if he did not own up now he would be badgered for twelve months about it-more misery. The contribution is believed to be the largest political donation by an individual in Australian history.
…..but wait there is more….you can see here the millions more in donations the Looters always get over Labor.

I’m always impressed how much energy is expended on this blog and wondered how it could be used for even more good.
I just discovered that you don’t need to be a US citizen to make a United States FOI request. So, if you want to make such a request, check out https://muckrock.com for an easy way to file a FOIA request, track it through the process, and scan in and publish the resulting documents online. It has the added bonus that experienced FOIA requesters can help nudge your request along and it’s free.
C’mon, PLMO, there must be some juicy secret US info you’ve always wanted to reveal.
