Humble servant of the Nation

Donald Trump’s Mexico wall: Here’s a little context …

The Donald said he was going to do it and now he is.

The Great Wall of the Rio Grande, the Trump Wall will stretch almost 2,000 miles (3,100kms) from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico, putting a gleam in the eye of graffiti artists everywhere. Banksy is said to be drooling in anticipation.

The estimated cost of this stunning feat of architecture is anywhere between $10 and $20 billion depending on who you listen to. Construction time is also a bit of a back-of-the-envelope exercise but by the time an exhausted bricklayer slaps the last bit of mortar on it, it is probable Donald Trump will be around 90 years of age.

In centuries to come anthropologists will marvel at it and wonder what far-sighted genius brought it into existence. Maybe even an old shyster like Erich Von Daniken will propose some unlikely theory that the Trump Wall was built by God who arrived by spaceship with the blueprint and a couple of trillion tons of prefabricated concrete.

I’m trying to figure out who is most unhinged – Donald Trump or the people protesting against Donald Trump.

It’s about neck and neck from where I’m sitting. One of my long-held beliefs playing out – nutty breeds nutty.

  • Henry Blofeld says:

POTUS Trump certainly has the “Hun on the Run” Mr Insider, what a breathtaking start to hid Presidency! PM Turnbull is stunned and has gone for another Bex and a good lie down.

    • Yvonne says:

No doubt Trump is doing what he said he would do, HB.
I think Turnbull is handling him quite well actually. But he is going to face ll sorts of dramas here at home as a result.

  • Jean Baptiste says:

6/63! Anybody coined the cringeworthy “wicketleaks” yet?

  • Jean Baptiste says:

Whoaaaa! Trump saves $600 million just by tweeting! He really is the messiah, he’ll be turning water into wine next.
Down on your knees you unbelieving leftist bastards, He walks among us!

He probably picked up the phone and told them to get their snouts out of the profit trough – or else they be sacked. They probably sat up and took notice. By now everyone should be well aware that he does what he says he will do JB.

      • Jean Baptiste says:

I was being sarcastic Yvonne. Read the header in the link, The Donald “says” he saved a bundle of money. Anyone’s guess how the twerp came to that belief.
I’ll bet the directors fell about the floor laughing at his tweets and said ” feed the dumb bastard the usual patriotic sh*t. That rube will never figure out this scam.”

        • Yvonne says:

Ah JB. Would I ever think you were not being sarcastic? I was actually being cynical in my response.
I don’t open all links here. One gets all sorts of spam after.

    • Henry Blofeld says:

Goodness me dear sweet innocent Mr Baptiste what a state you are in just 11 days out from the start of what promises to be an 8 year term for POTUS Donald Trump. You may need to look to Donald’s positives to boost your flagging morale dear chap – or sprinkle more Scotch Whiskey on your Weeties every morning. Cheers , come 6 months from now I feel you will be a Trump devotee!

WIT have no articles on the coming or going of any Messiah/Messiahs past or present. I have checked further and cannot find any research into whether the religious coding of DNA is religion specific, viz, are Muslims coded with Koranic verse or Hindus with segments from the Bagavad Gita. To test the strength of you own DNA, get down to the fisho and pick up some bream fillets, and whip into the baker for half a dozen buns, then invite 2000 mates over for lunch. I tried walking on water but I kept sinking. No idea how I got the nail holes in my feet. I can only think I’ve made a mistake while doing some farriery.

As to the correspondents on that WIT item, I think I know some of them, but they don’t know where I live. Shhh! Now about Wales, no, it’s definitely whales. If we nuke Wales, there will be no-one left that the Wallabies can beat. Oh OK, a toss of the coin about the French.

  • Yvonne says:

It is not Australia’s place to be telling the USA how it should be running its immigration policy.
The fact that Australians are saying he should is, to me, more an indication of a lack of confidence in Turnbull’s judgement. Which is Australia’s problem.

    • Jean Baptiste says:

Place! Place! It’s not our place to be telling the Seppos what to and what not do?
What are we, vassals? We’re Australians and we can tell whomsoever we bloody well like to pull their fat heads in and act like proper human beings.

  • Yvonne says:

Things hotting up for Trump. It’s going to he interesting to see how he deals with this international uproar. I wonder if he realised, or even thought about the widespread ramifications of his move – i.e. students on scholarships, tour groups, businesspersons etc. It’s not just about asylum seekers.
The sunlamped blonde is a bit weird – it’s difficult to take her seriously.
Turnbull could find himself in a bit of strife locally over this too.
It’s a tricky situation for other nations to get involved in my opinion. If Americans now regret having elected him, it’s probably their job to get rid of him.

  • Trabvitch says:

Below – this is from the publicly available swearing in of Pembroke J to the NSW Supreme Court. To him it may only be a case, and hence money, but to the plaintiff and other people subject to the so called justice system? It explains a lot – such an attitude means life and almost death to people.

“35: In recent years I became rather more relaxed about my cases and even contemplated an alternative existence. This came home to me about eighteen months ago when my opponent was complaining loudly, with perfect justification, as any normal barrister would have done in the circumstances. My only retort was to say, “John, lighten up, it’s only a case”.

    Bassman 10: 51am.
Yep a pretty fitting descripltion you have here of Anthony Mundine matching the bulk of population with the now disgruntle aboriginal people who once enjoyed him till he turned “mouth “and “Muslim ” now bragging against all of us now. We don’t give a stuff what religion he is ,but don’t jam it all back on us . His own people were “so supportive one time ago till he broke tradition from his people. H e lost it also bragging he is soon to be another Mohammod Ali who then dragged himself into the ring fighting broken burnt out fighters and near pensioners” just to build his titles up.
As for this fight with Danny Green Friday night, the organisers wise as they are over him not standing for the anthem on introduction, they have switched the Jessica Malboy singing now early to avoid him sitting down ,not standing , his call . This move sees Mundine still sitting on his backside in the dressing room while Jess sings the opening song. It is all designed not to embarrass her being aboriginal herself, as well as the night event. This shames the bigot Mundine who is very unpopular especially with his own culture who the bulk sees him a problem for aboriginal people .
Most want Green to send him onto the vanvas giving him the anesthetic { a good night blow } that may then see the end of his career.

  • Henry Blofeld says:

Goodness, Mr insider, what a reshaped USA and possibly the World order we will likely see with 2 terms of POTUS Trump! Methinks going by some comments here and elsewhere Whiskey sales may go thru the roof as well. Trump came in with promises of change and has hit the ground running. He’s not a career pollie, he’s a businessman who reacts in that latter style so we will have to all get used to it. Waffle and meaningless drivel some current pollies sprout is not his style. He’s clearly a “Can Do” type of guy. Interesting times for us all indeed, I personally like the man.
