Humble servant of the Nation

Donald Trump’s Mexico wall: Here’s a little context …

, / 24791 1,022

The Donald said he was going to do it and now he is.

The Great Wall of the Rio Grande, the Trump Wall will stretch almost 2,000 miles (3,100kms) from the Pacific to the Gulf of Mexico, putting a gleam in the eye of graffiti artists everywhere. Banksy is said to be drooling in anticipation.

The estimated cost of this stunning feat of architecture is anywhere between $10 and $20 billion depending on who you listen to. Construction time is also a bit of a back-of-the-envelope exercise but by the time an exhausted bricklayer slaps the last bit of mortar on it, it is probable Donald Trump will be around 90 years of age.

In centuries to come anthropologists will marvel at it and wonder what far-sighted genius brought it into existence. Maybe even an old shyster like Erich Von Daniken will propose some unlikely theory that the Trump Wall was built by God who arrived by spaceship with the blueprint and a couple of trillion tons of prefabricated concrete.

Marcus Stoinis almost. Great effort. Wickets an nearly enough runs. the experienced hands let him down today. what an innings.

  • Yvonne says:

Looking at the AER table, is the spike for Tasmania last year due to the disruption caused by the Basslink cable disconnection?

  • Tracy says:

Excellent innings from Stoinis, almost saved their bacon.

Bollocks. There is no effing “metric”. More than half of those who voted, did not vote for Trump. Trump won by the rules and a lot of very undemocratic help from the FBI, but the shortcomings in the rules and the electoral college have never been more glaring than with the installation of this buffoon. Trump was “elected” by the bums in the electoral college, not by the people.

If the system had worked to the advantage of the people, the way it should have worked, those bums would have awarded the result to the Democrats. Instead of this psychopath with delusions of omnipotence and competence.
“Get over it” you say. Pourquoi? Do you mean because a complete moron has been installed people should not be critical of the complete moron?
Hohoho! You are making the joke are you not? I and my ilk will heap the fair and correct amount of scorn on His Royal Boofheadednessas when it pleases us, and you can suit yourself.
Nothing with save Trump’s acolytes from embarrassment.

Bollocks you say JB. The only utterance you make that bears fact is “he won by the rules”.

Funny you and the paps, the Democrats and Hilary’s sycophants all cried foul pre election when Trump would not commit to accepting the result, or so he said.

More than half those that voted? Didn’t you get Dwight’s bulletin, it ain’t nothing new.

      Bat, ball, home.

      • Jean Baptiste says:

So what! Doesn’t alter the fact the Trump is a knuckle dragging atavistic jerk.
The point made was he didn’t get the support of the majority of the people. You are just obfuscating.

Says: “Bollocks. Trump won by the rules ……… the way it should have worked, those bums would have awarded the result to the Democrats.”

As you can see from the above JB, I’ve extracted the the thrust of your message from the remainder of the mostly (dare I say it) extraneous stuff you have offered. In doing so, may I make the observation that should you continue along a similar vein as you heretofore have, it will be my melancholy duty to inform you that any future negative comments concerning Trump’s resounding electoral success may be widely considered by any reasonable person as being the utterances of a sore loser me old mate.

      • Jean Baptiste says:

You, like the rest of you numbskulls are missing the point. I don’t mind Trump being President, it’s a hard lesson the suckers have to learn. Leave it out with the sore loser stuff you ninnies. I’m delighted to have such an bumptious idiot to bag.

    • Robin says:

The problem is JB the majority of citizens have worked out that no matter who you vote for you will get an incompetent politician. Compulsory voting in Australia means that Short on and turnip at least gets 65% of the vote between them. How many people would even vote for these turkeys if they did not have to. Shit Pauline’s party may have got the guernsey if people were not forced o vent their views

      • JackSprat says:

The question is – How many people would vote at all?

One will know the established parties recognize that they are in real trouble when there is a parliamentary inquiry into whether compulsory voting is democratic.

  • Dismayed says:

    S. Marsh better stand up now. Dropped catches misfields now 2 quick wickets he must stand up.

  • Dismayed says:

Turnbull hastily calls a press conference. Says bugger all, answers nothing and confirms he continues to place Australia in the position of the lap dog of another terrible right wing US government. Turnbull is a shadow of his former self. Unable to actually lead he is just spinning his wheels and digging a bigger hole for himself and the Nation. Dutton admits the US refugee “deal” is a pull factor for people smugglers. But by the sounds of it people may or may not go to the US? When asked about trumps latest effort to increase terrorism or stop people from certain country’s except those country’s where trump has business turnbull say’s he wont reveal details of a personal conversation???? Why call a press conference if you are not prepared to tell the Nation what is going on?

    • JackSprat says:

“trumps latest effort to increase terrorism or stop people from certain country’s except those country’s where trump has business”
I grow tired of your fake and libellous news Dismayed.
If you cannot at least stay close to the truth, I suggest you go inhabit those left wing blogs where people agree with your outlandish, biased and puerile statements.
I was expecting your contributions to fall off now that school is back but I was wrong.
I guess the inmates of the institution you inhabit have wi-fi access.

      • Dismayed says:

JS what is fake?? Numerous news sources have questioned why he left certain countries untouched to reveal he had businesses in them. Many people in Senior Security position all over the world have stated trumps latest thought bubble divisive action has handed terrorists more “ammunition” to promote their terror. Whatever your particular beef is with mankind the sooner it all ends the better. You are living in your right wing bubble echo echo echo chamber. I see your man from breitbart is running the security council. The is a very dangerous problem for the planet. Shall I make similar attacks on you as you have on me. Or will you then also pull out the victim card because you know I am correct but cannot deal with the facts.

        • JackSprat says:

Keep using the far left sites to justify your wild and erroneous claims Dismayed – it obviously keeps you entertained by driving the rest of us crazy – does nothing for your reputation though.
It is a time honoured, Leftie principal that if something is said often enough and loud enough, it sticks.
I notice there is a lot of Web activity around a few in Hollywood threatening to strike until Trump resigns – as if the world would notice. It does however show just how narcissistic that bunch are and how important they think they are to society.
I wonder if you are aware that Obama placed the same restrictions on the same countries but there again why wreck a good story. I think some legislation was in place and Trump piggy backed on that..
What is more interesting Dismayed is not who he did it to but why?

          • Dismayed says:

Obama’s changes in 2011 were not the same as trumps. That has been debunked by every reputable News agency on the planet. You should perhaps read a little further than Breitbart. You are some sort of sovcit delusionary Keep up your doomsday prepping

      • Robin says:

        JS
his thinking ability came under great strain when firstly deer leeder and then grate leeder proved to be so incompetent they could not best the village idiots that deservedly won their respective elections. His views on the world were cruelly trampled by the rejection of the leftard politicians by the people of firstly Australia, UK and finally the USA . He is now suffering the same symptoms as a rabid dog blindly snapping at anything that moves. The abuse he is throwing at all and sundry of anyone that disagrees with his increasingly narrow viewpoint indicate a turmoiled mind desperately in need of repair

      • Jean Baptiste says:

Dismayed may well be right. I don’t know what Dismayed thinks ,however If Trump wants to prevent terrorism occurring on a major criminal scale in the US he should build a high concrete wall around Dick Cheney , Wolfowitz, the rest of those lunatic neo-con criminals. and some Saudi Princes.

Dismayed wouldn’t seem crazy to you if you were awake Jacksprat, your narkiness and puerile insults suggest he may be stirring up a little dissonance. Do you good you old dinosaur.

    • Bella says:

Indeed Dismayed. What a nothing of a man Turnbull now is.

There is a 36 week pregnant Kuwaiti refugee with a uterine tumour, pre-eclampsia & bub in breech position that Doctors for Refugees on Naura want immediately transfered to an Australian hospital for an emergency c-section but this heartless, evil government says no chance. If she or her baby dies, it’s on Turnbull & Dutton.
      Regards, Bella

      • Razor says:

A friend of mine just returned from Manus. She is a psychologist. She advises the medical facilities are first rate. Not sure about Nauru though. She also advises that she would have NONE and I repeat NONE of the so called refugees she encountered here in Australia. This lady is far from a crazy right winger let me assure you.

        • Jean Baptiste says:

If she does indeed exist at all, and is a friend of yours you’re asking a lot for us to believe she is not a crazy right winger.

      • Dismayed says:

Bella, terrible. That sums up the true face of this coalition government. It goes hand in hand with this coalition government dropping aid to the lowest level since records can be traced. At a time when Australians are as wealthy as they have ever been. this says all that needs saying about the cons and their supporters.

      • Razor says:

It appears a couple here might have jumped the gun. Don’t believe everything refugee advocates tell you Bella. It’s an industry just as much as anything else and they don’t mind stretching the truth to score the odd point or two. I’ve seen it with my own eyes.

It’s the first I’ve heard of that case, but the article says the woman had been seen by five different obstetricians, each of whom had recommended she be brought to Australia. Did they not believe the first four?

New Zealand all out for 186 in the ODI, didn’t think they were going to get that far at one point.
36C in our neck of the woods, I washed both cars earlier in an attempt to persuade it to rain but alas, not a cloud in sight. Can’t remember when we last had some decent rainfall bush is very dry and dare I say getting rather crunchy underfoot.

Were you on the grog last night? I am sure JTI and the others on this blog love it being referred to as and I quote ‘conservative appreciation clown show’.

There are people with many different views on this blog. Could you say JB, Bassy, JOH and Darren have similar ideology to Yvonne, Robyn Milton or myself? Most people here converse amicably with only odd barb or bit of unpleasantness yet you cannot answer anyone who you do not agree with without attacking them. What is wrong with you mate? If you don’t like the blog then go to buggery. Simple really even for you.

    • Jean Baptiste says:

Phwaw! Someone is a bit snippy today!

      • Yvonne says:

I don’t think so JB. Dismayed seems to regard this blog as some sort of soapbox from which to issue the most bizarre rants on a daily basis – the one directly below is a good example. They are getting more strident.
The world is not all doom and gloom and misery. There is a bright side to living as well.
If you want to get a point across there are ways to do it without turning people right off – I’m afraid Dismayed does just the opposite……

        • Dismayed says:

Avon. You are an appalling creature. you are one of the most hypocritical things I have ever come across. I am glad I don’t actually have to be any where near you in person. Anyone like you who thinks their breeding is superior to others is sick.

        • Jean Baptiste says:

If you don’t like ’em, don’t read them. It’s for the moderator to decide what is and isn’t suitable material for the blog. It’s always amusing to see those with a sense of entitlement attempting to dictate the content to suit themselves.
I can see that Dismayed is very annoying to some of you and I must say I heartily approve of it.
If it weren’t for Dismayed this blog wouldn’t be half as much fun.

          • Yvonne says:

Personal abuse is not funny JB.
Making laughing stock of onesself is a choice one makes I guess, unless one us too stupid to realise that – but abusing a counter viewpoint is not exactly going to convert the non-believers. In fact just the opposite.
We have another perfect example of that right now – Donald Trump.

          • Jean Baptiste says:

Actually some of the personal abuse is very funny. Again, you don’t have to read, less respond to any poster.
You’re right personal abuse isn’t going to change an opinion, nor is rational debate so you might as well give ’em a good kick in the slats. Relieves the frustration.

    • Dismayed says:

You have some serious issues. You are unable to accept responsibility for your pathological dishonesty.. For once take your own advice that you seem to think everyone hangs on, have a look at every post in reply to me you make. You are first every time to attack me personally and do as you have here try to turn it around. You are some sort of deluded Dishonest piece of work. You have attacked me, my Mother her ancestry, my children, you lie continuously when shown to be wrong. Even after finally admitting I was correct you still have to abuse and then try and turn it around on me again. You are pathetic. I accept the blame for giving you oxygen and letting myself down by responding to your vitriolic dishonesty. I have been on this blog since inception. Unless JTI runs me off You will not get rid of me. It was never like it is now before your stench arrived. What gives you the right to tell people to leave the blog?? Who do you actually think you are? You refuse to accept facts presented, you accuse anyone who wants to see humanity move forward as being some sort of left wing, marxist, socialist, gay, muslim, greenie or whatever your latest crap line is, what is it lately “Elite” and PC both of which are mostly self entitled conservative conditions. As usual you take a point being made and try to turn it around to suit your latest dishonest attempts. You have some serious inferiority complex along with your dishonesty.
You try to bully when that does not work you just flat out lie and mislead. You try to demean and attack me because I want to see more people have opportunities, I want a liveable planet for future generations, I want to see new and better ways of doing things, I want to see those doing it tough get more help and those that are relatively comfortable get less. I want to see companies help nations grow not suck them dry, I want to see Education and Health for all not just those fortunate enough to be comfortable. I want to see workers protected not run into the ground or run off so Executives can pay themselves big bonuses. Yes I sent my children to a good school because I could. If I had my time again I would have put them in the Public school and had tutors 2 times a week instead of 1. But you want to try and attack me for giving my children opportunities I did not have? you want to attack me for wanting funding for Public schools over private? Wanting funding for Public health over subsidising Private health insurance companies, because I want to see first home buyer have a chance ahead of investors. There is nothing you have not attacked me over. To only then claim you are some sort of victim when I respond in kind. If all these things make me the opposite of you I am glad. I want stable world politics not nut case dictators like the trump you support who deliberately divide people along their Breeding or religious beliefs, or their heritage or place of birth. Again if this makes me the opposite of you I am glad. You have decided you will speak for people. Your narrow mind old world outdated views are what is contributing to more division on the planet. You are an anachronism from another time. If you weren’t so outdated I would call you a punk because that is what you are a gutless punk who hides behind the keyboard and tries to bully and lie. Try harder.
